- Cherry Island's 20th Anniversary Year Cherry Island Golf Course will be celebrating its 20th year of operations in 2010. Along with being open 20 years, Empire Golf Inc. has been there all 20 years as well.
- Cherry Island is now a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary By meeting the criteria for the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, We have shown that economic and environmental concerns are not the opposing forces of popular myth. In fact, by helping to protect the ecological integrity of our community’s terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, we are securing our long-term economic future.
